LongHaul Technologies, a subsidiary company of the Vita Cortex Group, are the pioneers and leaders in certified air cushions for commercial aircraft seating. The Vita Cortex Group have been involved in supplying conventional foam seat cushions to the airline industry since 1959.

Longhaul Technologies developed the "LongRest 2000" family of air cushions to make longhaul travel safer and more comfortable for the modern longhaul airline traveller. The launch of our first program for five new A340-300 aircraft with China Airlines was in May 2001. Seatbottom air cushions on board B777 and A340-600 aircraft of innovating world airlines like Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Virgin Atlantic followed year on year totalling over 50 aircraft . Following a successful three year in-service experience by China Airlines, we were awarded a further program involving all cabin classes for eighteen new aircraft involving A330-300 and B747-400 model.

Passenger reaction to our air cushions has been fantastic due to the enhanced comfort the air cushions deliver. Airlines have reacted to this feedback and acknowledge the added value our air cushions give their seats by awarding us more programmes. We are proud of the fact that our air cushions are now on board over twenty world airlines involving over eighty long-haul aircraft.
